Weekend Homework

No classes have homework over the weekend. However, English 9 students must be ready to present their information on Tuesday. Also, English 8 students should have begun reading their novels for the upcoming book review unit. On Friday, January 21, a summary over chapters 1-5 is due.

Remember, there is no school Monday, January 17, for Martin Luther King Day. Report cards for the 2nd 9-weeks will be sent home Tuesday.

Jan. 18 - Governor's Cup Composition Writing at Harrison Co. MS. Bus leaves at 3:45. Bring money for dinner. Should be back around 8:00.

Jan. 20 - Academic Team Practice 3:00 to 4:00pm

Jan. 22 - Gov. Cup Written Assessment & Quick Recall at Harrison Co. MS. Bus leaves at 6:35am. Bring money for a pizza lunch.

Snow Day!

Once again, there will be no school on Wednesday due to weather! Grades are due from teachers on Thursday afternoon, and report cards will be distributed to students on Friday. If you would like to know your grade, e-mail me at timothy.litteral@augusta.kyschools.us. I will need any make-up/late work first thing Thursday morning, but I cannot guarantee I will be able to get it graded before grades are due.

Just a reminder, 7th and 8th graders have spelling sentences due on Thursday. If you forgot your list at school, go to my school website - www.augustaschools.net/tlitteral. 9th graders need to be prepared to present their historical projects on Thursday.

Also, if we are in school on Thursday, there will be middle school academic team practice from 3:00 to 4:00pm.


Thursday, the Lady Panthers play St. Pat at Deming in the All-A T 6:30. The Panthers play Silver Grove at home on Friday night.

I hope everyone had a restful break! It's time to come back ready to work, as we have much to accomplish before testing. Spelling words have been posted on my website for this week. 7th grade will be working on revising articles they wrote last year. 8th grade will be writing persuasive letters. Freshmen will finish up their research papers and begin reading Of Mice & Men. Below are some upcoming important dates:
